My Review of Santa’s Slip Up by Raven Howell

It’s tour season at WOW! Women on Writing. I’ve had the opportunity to enjoy several books on these blog tours and I can’t wait to tell you about Santa’s Slip Up by Raven Howell.

Before we get to my review, here’s more about the book:

It’s the night of Halloween. Spooks, spiders, and skeletons abound, the full moon glows – so who is cheering, “Ho, ho, ho!”? Apparently, Santa Claus has come to town, though it’s the wrong time of year! But what could be a bad situation, is wittingly handled with humor, and there’s a new winner at this year’s Halloween parade.

For fans of Room on the Broom and The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything.

My Review

What a charming book! I loved the atmospheric art and the author’s wonderful poetry. It’s adorable and funny and a great way to talk about why it’s okay to be yourself and even make mistakes sometimes. Hey if Santa can make them, anyone can, right? I loved the ending too, it was a charming twist.

Purchase your copy of Santa’s Slip Up on AmazonBookshop.org, or Barnes and Noble. You can also add it to your GoodReads reading list.

  1. Thanks a million for reviewing Santa’s Slip Up! It was fun to write and I’m having a great time sharing it with students in classrooms and libraries in story time. As you can imagine, the kids don’t know what’s coming until the book’s end and watching their faces is priceless, so sweet. Sending you warmest regards and happy autumn cheer! Raven.
