Being Enough by Author M.T. Becker

Today, I am excited to share some thoughts by author M.T. Becker. M.T. Becker is actually the name of a husband and wife team, Mark and Tiesha Becker.

The former elementary school teachers decided to write a book after fostering three malnourished puppies. Zinger In the Woods reflects the lessons they learned from being parents, doggie parents, and teachers for over thirty years.
You can discover more about M.T. Becker on their website: www.live-grow-sustain.com.

Their book, Zinger in the Woods, is on tour now with WOW! Women on Writing. Check out the tour page here. Here are their thoughts on being enough:

The moment we come into the world our perspective on being enough starts to transform from knowing we are to thinking we are not. And once we reach adolescents, we truly struggle with being enough; such as not having enough clothes, enough money, and enough friends. Our next stage, adulthood, is where we endlessly seek to replace our inadequate self-image with material possessions. Hence, when will we ever feel like we are enough?

We will feel like we are enough when we let go of the person others say we should be and feel satisfied with the person we are. Enough will be enough when we no longer feel the need to “Do”, but rather feel the need to “BE.” Enough will be enough when we remember the feeling we had in our mother’s womb again. The feeling that I am, what I am, and that is all I need to be.
