[K]oestler Parapsychology Unit – The Study of the Unexplained #AtoZChallenge

Although it may be tough for many to embrace, I’ve always been fascinated by the paranormal and when I started doing research for the letter K, I couldn’t believe my luck in finding the Koestler Parapsychology Unit.

Located at the University of Edinburgh, in Scotland, according to their website, they study “the possible existence of psychic ability, belief in the paranormal, the psychology of anomalous experience, psuedo-psychic deception and self-deception, and the social and historical relevance of parapsychology.” (1)

They also offer an online course that teaches people about the paranormal including what parapsychologist have found, people’s paranormal experiences, what critics say and how to critique paranormal experiences. I was looking over what they study and they also study dreams, near-death experiences, and so much more.

This is probably the best approach to the paranormal that I’ve seen – it’s not saying that it doesn’t exist, but it isn’t saying it’s always 100% true.

Can you image the awesome creative inspiration that would happen by studying in this school?

Excuse my while I go major in AWESOME at the Koestler Parapsychology Unit.
