So another lame, not a big deal moment has hit the air waves again. Guess what everyone? Hillary Clinton went without makeup one day. *GASP* I don’t see what the big deal is. Considering I’m in a hurry in the morning, I leave without makeup on all the time. I usually put it on later, of course, but really people? National news?
Granted, Hillary Clinton is a public figure, but you know what? I am amazed anyone really noticed. I think she looked pretty good without any make up on. Here’s the photo of her below sans make up:

According to the NY Daily News, all she had was some lipstick on and she has laughed off the criticism received by many of the critics. She states, “If I want to wear my glasses I’m wearing my glasses. If I want to wear my hair back I’m pulling my hair back … At some point it’s just not something that deserves a whole lot of time and attention.” Cheers, Hillary!
Another reason why I don’t get this? Plenty of stars have sported the “natural” look. Just do one quick Google search and you are bound to find millions of celebrities captured without makeup. Just take a look at the screen shot I took below (click on the picture to make it bigger):
See? It isn’t that big of a deal. So cool it, people. Sometimes women do not wear make-up. So, with that said, in support of the whole “not always wearing makeup” thing. I have decided to post a photo of myself without makeup. Here is a picture of me this morning after washing my face?
See? Not a big deal. But the thing is, I do like makeup. Makeup is fun. It’s fun to buy. It’s fun to put on. I even like the way makeup sounds when I scrounge around in my makeup bag. I like how makeup looks. I like how makeup smells. Cheers to makeup! I wear makeup because I like it and I like how it looks. So there.

Come on everybody! Let’s show the world how NOT a big deal this is!
What do you think readers? Will you take on the challenge?
I was kind of disappointed at all the media regarding her not wearing make up. I mean really…she has enough to do. Maybe she just needed to focus on something other than makeup.
I love wearing make up, but it is okay to take a day off, or even two or three. 😉
Oh for sure! And I figure those days off gives my skin a break! 🙂 I'm so still amazed they made that no makeup thing a big deal.
Honestly? I'm envious of people who can go without makeup and she looks great! I have rosacea, which means if I don't have makeup on, I look like I have a sunburn. Ugh. Kudos to her for wearing or not wearing makeup. Her choice. 🙂
Hey whatever makes you feel good! I will go a day or a couple of hours without it, but I still feel better with it on! 🙂
I'm with you! She's in what was always considered a man's job (Men DIDn'T wear make-up) and works exceptionally hard – why in the world does she have to be perfectly quaffed and made up??
Oh, and I never wear make-up – I'm allergic to most of the stuff out there (Even the hypo-allergentic stuff).
I know!! She works really hard and to have her appearance criticized is just sad!
