Consider these recommendations for your Saturday night.
It’s Saturday night! On my writing blog, World of My Imagination, I have a weekly feature, “Three Things on a Saturday Night,” where authors (or yours truly) share a book, a movie, and a wildcard recommendation for Saturday night.
So, here’s my book, movie, and wildcard recommendation:
My Book Recommendation:
Just recently, I finished The Fountain by John A. Heldt. It’s about time travel and three characters in their older years going back to the 1900s. What’s great about it is they go back as younger versions of themselves (the whole Fountain of Youth thing). They go back to 1905, right before the San Francisco earthquake of 1906.
I LOVED it. I’m such a sucker for time travel themes. Make sure you check out my full review on my writing blog. Or add it to your GoodReads reading list.
My Movie Recommendation:
It’s the summer, it’s hot. So why not a summer movie? Last night, I watched Weekend at Bernie’s. I think it’s the perfect movie for a hot day. Why not get entertained by two fools trying to make their formerly-alive boss look alive for the sake of safety?
Favorite line: “What kind of a host invites you to his house for the weekend and dies on you?”
My Wildcard Recommendation:
I never realized how much of a DIY dollhouse fan I would be until I received Nancy’s Bake Shop for my birthday. Good-NESS this was a blast. If you love crafty things, this is a fantastic item to get. It will require patience, time, and careful hands, so keep that in mind.
