Three Things on a Saturday Night

It’s Saturday night! Here are my recommendations.

I feel like me and everyone else is thinking to themselves, “How is it almost August?” It’s hard to believe this year is going so fast, and the fall season will be here before we know it.

Looking for a good movie, book, or wildcard suggestion? Here are my recommendations for your Saturday night.

Book Recommendation: The House on Linden Way by Elizabeth Maria Naranjo

I read this book last year and LOVED it. It’s about a character who goes back through her past, trying to understand family issues and mysteries. While it was a slight ghost story, it was more about trying to understand the past. The author did it so well.

Movie Recommendation: Backstabbed (2016)

Anyone else a sucker for Lifetime TV movies? I have seen Backstabbed a couple of times. It stars Brittany Underwood, playing a newbie real estate agent. She partners with the ruthless Josie Davis, who is an experienced real estate agent that cuts corners to get sales. Turns out Josie is more than someone with loose morals. She also is dangerous. When Brittany tries to separate herself from Josie Davis, her life is at risk.

You can watch it on Amazon Prime. Don’t let the low IMDB rating deter you!

Wildcard Recommendation

I often like to look up places in movies that are real-life locations. One place I’ve always thought would be a fun vacation is Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania on Groundhog Day. It’s an actual location that really does Groundhog Day events. If you are a fan of the movie like I am, this would be a great trip.

Check out their site for some of the events they host. Daydream with me!
