My Review of The Reckoning of Grace by Ron Chapman

I’m slowly getting back into reading, and I was so excited for the opportunity to read The Reckoning of Grace by Ron Chapman. He’s doing a blog tour with WOW! Women on Writing and I’m so excited to take part.

Before we get to my thoughts, here’s a bit about the book:

Investigative journalist Kevin Pitcairn and his beloved Maria Elena Maldonado, now prominent voices in the Watching―a nationwide movement of silent, nonviolent resistance to forces of division and violence―find themselves targeted by those who see their message as a threat to the old order. When violence strikes close to home, they are forced into hiding, guided by Father Anthony de Franco and a community of enlightened seekers.

As the nation grapples with its own reckoning, Pitcairn and Maria Elena confront not only external dangers but also the personal wounds that mirror within them and others the greater societal divide. Their journey becomes one of post-traumatic growth, spiritual recovery, and the relentless pursuit of transcendence in the face of betrayal and fear.

My Thoughts:

What an intense book! There’s so much to unpack in this book, that I can only recommend you read it to really feel how well done it is. Ron does great with continuing Pitcairn’s journey. This book is definitely a reflection of the times and what’s going on in our political world right now. The character development is rich, and so is the intensity of the plotline. I loved the ongoing theme of healing in the story, too.

Purchase a copy of The Reckoning of Grace on Amazon. Or be sure to add it to your GoodReads reading list.
