The Listserv – Messages of Hope, Honesty, and the Everyday

This is one of those blog posts that I have been wanting to write for a very long time.

So, I’m a huge, HUGE fan of StumbleUpon because you never know the type of amazing things you will come across. I came across a site called, “The Listserve” and immediately got interested. I signed up and since then I’m one of their biggest fans.

What is it?

It’s exactly what you think it would be – a giant email list where one email is sent once a day from someone on the subscriber list.

It’s a like a giant newsletter?

That’s what I thought at first. But it isn’t. You can say what you want really and you end with your name and email (or you can be anonymous).

Will I get a bunch of crap spam?

No. And actually I have seen little to no advertising on this email list and this is the main reason I have stayed on.

What type of emails will get sent?

That’s the awesome part. Everyone is inspiring in their own way. Everyone has struggles. Everyone has hope. Everyone feels down occasionally or just down right awful. Just read the stories you find on this list.

The extra awesome thing?

You get a chance to send your own email. I haven’t been chosen yet, but I’ve thought about what I would want to write. My one chance to send an email read by thousands of people across the world? I thought at first I would promote my blog. But decided not to since the overall tempo of the emails has NOT been to promote businesses. Whatever I decide it will be a message of hope and encouragement.

So I hope I have intrigued you because i really want you to sign up. Just click this link and all you do is give them your name and email and one day you will get the chance to send your own email.

In case you are a visual learner (like me, I totally get that). Check out this vdeo they have on their site:
